Learning about repentance from David

Today’s Bible reading took me back to the Psalms, and in particular to several Psalms that all related to David’s repentance after he had committed adultery and murder (Psalms 32, 51, 86, 122). In these Psalms, we see some important elements of repentance.

Seeking God’s Answer

In reading Numbers 8-10 this morning, one verse really stood out to me. When some men who were “unclean” because they had touched a dead body came to Moses to ask him how they were supposed to observe the Passover, Moses’ response was “Wait, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you.” (Numbers 9:8)

Leviticus 1-4

Starting today, I’ll be reading in Leviticus for a while. My first thought in reading the first four chapters today is that I’m sure glad that making atonement for my sins is no longer that complicated.
